They said it!
It fills my heart to know that someone has gained the knowledge and skills to swim to their next level. Each new confident swimmer armed with skills and a solid mindset means one more person whose life was changed. One more death avoided and one more person who can now truly enjoy the water as it was always meant to be.
Successful Peeps
The results are ALWAYS suprising!
Here are a few peeps who had success with their swimming learning the Surge Swim Method™
The MOVIE: Dolphin Tale, actress- Cozi Zuenhlsdorff
Cozi first came to me when she was auditioning for her role as Hazel in the original Dolphin Tale movie. She learned the skills necessary to fulfill her movie role, and it was really exciting to be with her when she got the call that she got the part!
She did great in her swimming!
Cozi needed to advance her skills to swim with the dolphins for the second installment Dolphin Tale 2. I have never met a more determined young lady. She was stretched outside of her comfort zone to gain confidence in skills that were not comfortable for her...and to top it off, she had to look- play her role- as a water confident teenager. The camera picks up every bit of uneasiness, but she prevailed flawlessly due to her unbeliable work ethic and her scenes were incredible.

"Stephanie was a dedicated and enthusiastic swim coach. She made our stroke lessons and drills super fun and productive. I have improved dramatically on my competitive ocean swims and am able to keep up with my open ocean swim friends. I still benefit from her wise and unique coaching style...she jumps in the pool with us and demonstrates form and techniques"
-Russ Parker, Open Ocean Swimmer
"Stephanie's analysis and stroke critique are a great benefit to both new and long-time swimmers. Knowing where and when to apply the "surge" is crucial for gaining speed and feeling stronger and more confident in the water. Stephanie's is the BEST!"
-Lynn Kubasek, Marathon Swimmer
"Taking swim technique lessons with Stephanie Havelka at Surge Swim Method was a huge benefit to my swimming. I had swam for years racing in triathlons, but never had any formal training. The class had more individual attention than I was expecting. Steph took the time to not only video, but swim next to each person to further analyze their stroke. She gave specific one-on-one instruction to swimmers on how to improve according to their level of ability. Critiques were concise, to-the-point and delivered in easy to understand language.
Whether you are a beginner or seasoned veteran I would highly recommend Stephs instruction"
-Brad Gill, Outrigger Canoe Paddler & Triathlete
"Stephanie Havelka is really a great person and has a very likable personality!! She is also one of the fastest and accomplished ocean swimmers in our "swim group". Because I was interested In improving my technique it was natural that I consudered swim lessons from Steph. When swimming, I incorporate skills I've learned from Stephanie: such as awareness, body position, body check, how my arm enters the water. So, if you're interested in improving your swimming technique (at any level) give Steph a call."
-Raymond Kilz, Open Ocean Swimmer & Ironman Triathlete
"My name is Greg and I am an adult onset swimmer who started swimming 2 years ago so I could race triathlons. I have been swim training with Stephanie for approximately 1 year.
Stephanie has transformed me from a "swim to survive" triathlete into a confident and competent swimmer. I used to have a panic attack at the swim start of every race. Not any more. She has improved my swim confidence, technique, speed, and endurance. I can confidently swim in open water conditions that I never thought possible. Stephanie helped me improve my Half Ironman swim time by 10 minutes versus prior year (on the same course), and I exited the water with more energy for an improved bike and run split. She also prepared me for my first 2.4 mile Ironman swim, and I hit my goal time ON THE BUTTON.
Stephanie gears the lessons and training plans to my specific goals. The lessons are purposeful. The drills are purposeful. The training plans she writes for me are purposeful. And the best part is that I know I am improving as evidenced by how I feel (confidence and technique) and as evidenced by the clock (speed and distance/endurance). I am a decent cyclist and runner, and swim-cardio is a whole different ballgame. Stephanie's training plan has helped me improve my swim-cardio by leaps and bounds. I used to swim my races in economy-mode "just in case". Now, the gun goes off and I swim more aggressively for time and I exit the water with plenty of gas left in the tank. The pool lessons and workouts translate excellently into open water practice and races. Stephanie even gives lessons in the open water, and I am now swimming in open water straighter than ever.
You have to experience Stephanie's positive coaching approach to believe it. It's never about what I did "wrong." That word never enters the conversation. Rather, she's all about making POSITIVE changes. If you can't tell by now, I am a thoroughly satisfied client, and I highly recommend Stephanie for swim coaching...as long as you are not in my age group!
Get your swim on with Stephanie!"
